4th Annual Pastor's Pot A Cooking Challenge Benefitting C.A.R.E.S.

Our local churches and their pastors are joining together to create a festive and delicious cooking challenge. Each church will prepare their pastor's best recipe (or maybe a recipe from a member of the congregation!). Then on Saturday, May 3rd, the folks who come will get to taste the offerings and vote on their favorite. Which Pastor or church will win this year's Pastor's Pot prize? The last two years have brought us amazing recipes from the churches including Texas Chili, a shrimp Jambalaya, special BBQ, a Strawberry Pretzel Salad, and many scrumptious desserts. There will be lots of music by John King Carter and Dave Garner, from ETC-TV will be our emcee. The tickets are $10 and can be purchased from your church, Jasper Drug, Bank of North Georgia or look for us at the Farmer's Market on Saturday, April 19th and 26th. Get your tickets now - Don't miss the 4th Annual Pastor's Pot! All the money raised from the Pastor's Pot goes to support C.A.R.E.S. This wonderful and very important organization provides food and temporary financial assistance for families in Pickens County. Sometimes C.A.R.E.S. helps as many as 200 families a week with food. It also provides money to parents who are returning to school for their books, transportation and child care. C.A.R.E.S. will be helping the Weekend Snack Pack Program provide food for kids over the weekend. Be a part of this amazing community event. Join us for fabulous food and fun at the Pastor's Pot!!!
